What is a Mainlander?
Mainlanders, as their name suggests, live on mainland Australia – just to the north of Tasmania.
Living on the Mainland has its perks but it’s easy to get caught up in the scene,
and sometimes Mainlanders just need saving from their ‘Mainlanderness’.
Here are five Mainlander types who we believe would love what Tasmania can offer them…
Stylishly highbrow, artistically unshockable and deeply intellectual, Culture Vultures exhibit a particular interest in classical and cutting-edge forms of art – tending to live in a bit of a cultural bubble, believing that there’s not a lot to experience outside of cosmopolitan centres.
And here's how to save them
Culture Vulture Rescue
Cultures Vultures need to be ahead of the crowd so they will love that Tasmanian culture will give them the edge, and edginess, they crave. They’ll also be pleasantly surprised by world-class Tassie wines, and local produce with a global twist in our contemporary restaurants. Add to that our cultural festivals, respected and renowned artists, and stunning Georgian architecture and the Culture Vulture will be home to roost.
